Here we are at the end of March, this month went by so quickly. Thankfully, I was able to make the most of the month by getting some inspiration for future posts, changing my posting schedule, switching my career goals, and making new friends on Instagram, Twitter, and picking up new subscribers for my newsletter. If you haven't already subscribed, please do so at the end of this post. I love staying connected with all of you and getting to know each and every one of you!
In March, I found several new products that I was amazed by. I read an amazingly captivating book, and I actually successfully tried a Pinterest DIY recipe. Those are only a few of my favorite things from this month, let me share the rest of my favorites below.
1. How to Be a Good Wife: A Novel by Emma Chapman
This book was an interesting read. Emma Chapman's writing flows perfectly and held my interest so tightly that I managed to finish this book in a day (I just couldn't wait to see what happened next). It is full of suspense and drama and mixes in a lot of real-life metaphors. There is a huge plot twist in the book that caught me off guard. Honestly, I love when writers do something unexpected, it keeps me more interested in the story, as well as staying more mysterious. I definitely recommend this book if you like mysterious, and suspenseful drama, and well if you want to know what it really takes to "be a good wife".
2. Seventh Generation Disinfectant Wipes
These are so awesome! I love how soft they are, and in an effort to be more eco-friendly they are perfect since they are alcohol-free. I love how they are not filled with harsh chemicals and are toxin free. I recently ran out of Clorox wipes and realized that after using them, I felt itchy and my house overwhelmingly smelled like chemicals. So with a $1 less difference, I opted for Seventh Generation. They do not disappoint.
3. DIY Febreze Spray
I have wanted to try doing more DIY cleaning supplies and eco-friendly cleaning hacks. Since I had some extra money this month, I decided to go and grab myself a few essential oils. I found a recipe from Brown Thumb Mama and tailored it to my desired scent. The essential oils I used were lavender, lemongrass, and tea tree oil. It is the perfect blend of sweet and citrus. Go check out Brown Thumb Mama for other Natural DIY recipes.
4. African Black Soap
This has been such a blessing for my face. I have been dealing with a ton of breakouts and have been struggling to figure out a working skincare routine. But with African Black Soap, Aleo Vera, and Witch Hazel, my skin has started to clear up and become brighter.
5. My Personalized Editorial Calendar
I made my own blog editorial calendar this month and all I can say is, wow! It is so much easier to use than a planner and helps me be more productive and efficient during the blogging process. Below are two free pages of my editorial calendar. Feel free to download, and print them out!
6. Vega One Chocolate Protein Powder
I think I have found what might be the tastiest vegan protein powder. I used to drink this in pre-made shake form, but they stopped stocking it at my local Sprouts, so I found the individual packets at Target. I love this because I can add this into the blender with some frozen bananas, a little bit of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and either whip it into a frozen yogurt texture or smoothie/shake texture. It tastes great and it's sweet enough to where you don't need to add additional sweetener!
